Ana Mendez, born in Miami and a graduate from the University of Illinois, is a professional dancer and choreographer, and has worked with Miami Contemporary Dance Company since November 2005.  Throughout South Florida, Ana produces her own solo work.  Bruise Blood premiered for Art Basel 2005 at the Dorsch Gallery and at the C-Print exhibition.   Parrucca, her latest piece was presented by DACRA during Design Night in February 2007.  Recently, Ana was a member of the Idalina cast, working with Giovanni Luquini and Miami Light Project at the Carnival Center for the Performing Arts. This is her fourth season with Miami Contemporary Dance Company.
