Geo Macia, born in Cuba, trained at Cuban
National Ballet (92-94). He moved to Miami in 1994, graduated
from New World School of the Arts in 1999 and also trained in
workshops in Latin, Jazz, and Hip Hop Techniques. Geo is an
accomplished dancer, singer and actor having worked in numerous
productions including the Actors’ Playhouse production of
Broadway hit Aida; Organization of American States (OAS);
Opening Ceremonies, lead vocalist, 2005; Release Party for
"South Beach Style" by Laura Cerwinske; Miami Latin Connection
Ballroom Dance Co., "Ballroom Fever", Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, New
York City; Jean Ann Ryan Productions, Norwegian Cruise Line;
Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Entertainment Productions; among
others. Geo has danced in numerous music videos and live
performances. Since joining Miami Contemporary Dance Company he
has performed in When Words Pour Down, Asiasong on Our Soil, The
Death of Garcia Lorca, Tango Undressed, Intimate I and II and
Your Blood, My Blood. This is Geo’s fourth season with Miami
Contemporary Dance Company.
